Join us for sewing and a community conversation with Birmingham-based organization Bib & Tucker. All ages and skill levels welcome.
Each year, Bib & Tucker members choose a theme and facilitate open sewing sessions and discussion. During these sessions, participants create quilt blocks that express personal feelings about the theme. Bib & Tucker members then stitch the blocks into quilts that are exhibited in tandem with a relevant anniversary or day of recognition.
This year's project is A(MEND): "Each of us has the ability to make small, intentional changes that can positively impact our communities and these changes begin with a single step, or stitch! During Year 8 of The March Quilts, Bib & Tucker will ask our communities to explore what A(MEND) means to them and how we can use art to advocate for the changes that we wish to see."
